Strengths: Saintly, optimistic, cheerful, altruistic, sympathetic, emphatic, selfless, friendly, kind, polite, sweet, humble, compassionate, helpful, understanding, a friend to all, a pacifist, sees the good in absolutely everybody, spreads happiness and unconditional love everywhere she goes.
Weaknesses: Spastic, clumsy, gullible, easily viewed as "dim", takes on a lot of the burden of others, overdoes tasks for people at the cost of her own health, repressed, easily distressed, hides her own sadness and grief, overly cautious, afraid of hurting or offending anyone, afraid of being unfaithful to her deceased mother's memory.
Powers/Abilities: None that are noteworthy, aside from cleaning, cooking, nursing minor illnesses, and generally organizing a good, productive home life as a housekeeper. Her good, pure nature, happy company, and gift of effortlessly easing the pain in others' lives could count as part of her "power". Otherwise there is nothing special about her; she's just an ordinary schoolgirl.
Will: Weak to strong (she can be easily taken advantage of, however she is assertive and stays true to her values of kindness and thinking of others, even when faced with abuse. Her resolve to break the Sohma family curse never falters).
Home/Place of Origin: Japan.
Occupation: Housekeeper, office janitor as an after-school job. Becomes a high school graduate - anything afterwards is unknown.
Social Standing: Extrovert.
Ethnicity: Japanese.
Sexuality: Heterosexual.
Other Trivia: Orphaned a few months after being accepted into high school. Lived with her grandfather, then alone in a tent, before moving in with the Sohmas. Nicknamed Onigiri ("rice ball") from kindergarten, hinting at her past social status as a lonely outcast (not that she was aware of it initially, for she thinks onigiri is delicious). Her two best friends are Arisa Uotani and Saki Hanajima from school. Her late, ex-gang member mother Kyoko is the most important person in her life. She shows how far hard work, commitment and unflinching kindness in a cruel, taxing world can go - kindness is a virtue. Is very much family-orientated without being statically domesticated. She shows the positives of the traditionally "female" personality traits, and how they can benefit humanity - her masculine name and form of address of "Tohru-kun" help to balance it out. Breaks the Sohma curse through love and acceptance of her own feelings for Kyo Sohma - the outcast cat of the Chinese Zodiac curse - whom she eventually marries and has a son (Hajime) and granddaughter with. She is the exact definition of a person who is "ordinary yet extraordinary."
