Is there something to the swirling?

"I saw a squirrel without a head.
No, it wasn't dead. It was moving, jumping, leaping around, scuttling along my fence - with a gray furry stump where its head should be. What? How? I don't know, but I swear it's true. I saw a squirrel without a head. Perhaps from birth? Who knows. But I know what I saw. And what I saw at ten-thirty in the morning is a little gray, big-tailed squirrel without a head."

'Captain Marvel' - it is awesome. It is about women taking back their own power and potential from warmongering men wanting to keep them in their place in a corrupt, violent, domineering system. It is about women supporting and inspiring women, and racism and colonialism. There are more than not one but two black characters AND NONE OF THEM DIE, and I dare anyone to name another movie where a superheroine flies around and fights in space, triumphant and cheerful, by herself as the main hero. She doesn't kill unnecessarily, and no matter how powerful she is, she knows she has nothing to prove to men. It is her heart that is most important. As well as brains, selflessness and piloting skills. Plus, THERE IS NO ROMANCE! IMAGINE, A STRONG FEMALE PROTAGONIST STORY WITH NO ROMANCE IN SIGHT! THAT IN OF ITSELF IS REVOLUTIONARY!
Bottom line, go see it.

Scribble #88
When I was little, I used to imagine a lot of things, for my own happiness and amusement. And for writing. But what I liked to imagine especially are my own characters in existing TV series, usually cartoons. These extra characters of my own creation would always make the shows better - well, a few of them, and in my mind. They would have the most common sense out of all the idiot cast (seriously, how stupid were some of the shows we grew up watching?). And they would always be female, because an extra female in a cast never hurt anyone, and the more the greater. She would be a true feminist icon and aspiration model.
Actually, I've been doing this all my life. I still like to imagine one or two of these characters making their respective shows much better, more feminist, for me. I even like to imagine subsequent, sequel shows and cartoons out of existing ones. There exists in my head the children of the characters of the cartoons I watched as a kid, in their own adventures and struggles and development. Their shows are very good, dare I say revolutionary, dare I say so myself. I used to do this for video games as well!
Is this just me? Am I mad? My head is full of vivid, weird crap. Always has been.
Sometimes my own imagination is the best television channel I've ever had.
Maybe it's about time I try writing these characters into my own original stories...

My hair is so thick that it would take an hour to dry it completely. Tell me, who wants to waste an hour of their day drying their hair? Even cut short, it makes no difference. It's ridiculous. If I were a film or TV actor my characters wouldn't be written to be anywhere near water, because of the nightmare of having to dry my hair quickly afterwards, for a next take or scene.
Thick hair don't care, but sometimes I do. I've always been made to feel ashamed of it when I was very young (and fussy and stroppy, but the adults' profound negative attitude towards me didn't help); and despite reassurances from my parents and hairdressers, that anxiety hasn't exactly gone away. I'm told that it is a nice, enviable colour, though.
