Book Review - 'Vampirina at the Beach' by Anne Marie Pace (Writer), LeUyen Pham (Illustrator)

2022 EDIT: From my 'Vampirina Ballerina' review:

I will keep the first 'Vampirina Ballerina' book - I still love it to bits - but not its sequels. The first is the most charming and beautiful, and it most centers on ballet.

Original Review:

A fun little 'Vampirina' adventure in the moonlit night at the beach!

'Vampirina at the Beach' does contain dancing, but also swimming, surfing, snorkelling, sandcastle-making, and roasting marshmallows. It stars witches, a Frankenstein's monster (aside from Vampirina's family butler), a Bride of Frankenstein, ghosts, skeletons, mermaids, pirates, gorgons, and other monsters; including a POC werewolf family - and Vampirina makes friends with a little boy werewolf.

It's all just so cute, wholesome and touching!

'Vampirina at the Beach' - charming and colourful, and containing good messages for kids. It's as to be expected from the 'Vampirina' series of picture books.

Thus ends my 'Vampirina' reviews, in this spooky, eerie, foggy, tricky, chilling, mystifying season of Samhain.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Final Score: 5/5
