Scribbled thoughts at this moment in time

I have to voice my grievances somewhere:

I am never, ever going to America again. Ever. Not for a very, very long time, at the very least, and that's me being optimistic. Human rights mean absolutely nothing there. The place that seems so determined to kill every one of its people--

No. No.

Breathe. Stay calm. Don't panic.

It's too easy to be angry, aggressive, afraid and negative. And incoherent. Too easy to sink to the fascists' and right-wingers' level.

Kindness is the key. Kindness is always the key.

Empathy, understanding and love cure the world. Not violence, abuse and death.

Go outside. Look around. There is beauty in the world. There is much to love.

This world is worth saving.

Try to be calm and kind. Collected and thoughtful. We are all human and worth so much.

Remember that everyone deserves freedom. Everyone deserves choices. Everyone should feel safe and protected in their own home.

Remember that not everyone is absolutely terrible, hypocritical, vile and poisonous. Not everyone is so unbelievably warped, hateful, corrupt, crooked, irrational, unhinged, selfish and power-hungry.

Ethics and morals still exist.

As do fighting injustices and what is wrong in our systems - all for equality and free, public education and choice - every single day.

Keep truth and responsibility alive.

Keep caring.

With kindness and love, which will always exist in human "civilisations" and "societies" no matter what, there will always exist hope.

Hope for a better, peaceful world. Where everyone is given chances, and the fundamental freedom to love, be visible, be listened to, be happy, be functional, be safe, and be alive.

Someday.
