Scribble #35

Monsters are not childish fantasies. They describe human beings; people who do and say the absolute vilest things with no shame. Who are against human progress and thrive on dividing and oppressing others not like them. Like it or not, they are powerful influences in culture and society - due to a number of human factors; boredom, ignorance, hatred, fear.

But most of all, these monsters are the result of people just not caring. At all. Not about other people, not about anything, but themselves. They are dangerous narcissists.

What is also real?

Cowardice.

Indifference.

But also Hope.

We cannot afford to give up on hope at any time, anywhere.

Always ACT.

Always BE KIND.

LISTEN.

COMMUNICATE.

Understand.

Celebrate humanity in all its many, many, many differences, and acknowledge how awesome they make all of us. Perfection is a myth.

And care.

Never stop caring.

Because the day we all cease to care about anything is when we cease to be human. We become lifeless, loveless puppets of the lifeless, loveless powers of ignorance and intolerance. And hate.

Care for other people. Love them. Act on that care. Break down the walls and cages of hatred and fear.

Because we are all human. We all live on the same planet, in the same home. We all want - NEED - to be happy and safe. And until we all come to accept this, progress will continue to suffer.

I love you all. I do care for you. I will be kind...

And hope.
