2023 EDIT: Part of my 2023 clear-up, of books I no longer like, or am no longer interested in, or remember well as standing out, or find as special anymore, or I otherwise will not miss.

Original Review:
Having owned this book for years, I only just now thought to myself, "Why not? Let's review it".
'Harry Potter' fever is running high at the moment!
'The Magical Worlds Of Harry Potter: A Treasury Of Myths, Legends And Fascinating Facts' - authored (unofficially) by David Colbert in 2001 - is exactly what it says on the tin: It gives fascinating, detailed facts on the storytelling techniques (intentional or not), the names behind the characters and magical creatures, on the myths, legends, and historical references that are present in the 'Harry Potter' books, up to 'The Prisoner of Azkaban'.
With only the first three books to analyse and discuss, 'The Magical Worlds of Harry Potter' does contain limited information, but it's fun nonetheless. All those hidden meanings I'd never thought about before when first reading the books. How vast the collective knowledge is of J.K. Rowling, and how cleverly she wove them into her fantasy stories!
There are cool illustrations and artistically-dogeared side notes as well. It reminds me of 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them', only as non-fiction and not quite as funny or cute.
A good book for any 'Harry Potter' fan to add to their shelved collection.
Final Score: 4/5
